Gamblification, youth, and video games: Research to promote responsible gaming practices

(SUBV24/00023).

The project aims to address the negative consequences of integrating chance-based reward mechanisms and dark patterns into video games (gamblification), focusing on promoting responsible gaming practices among young people (aged 16–25). It seeks to provide guidance to policymakers and social actors (family, school, and media) and health professionals (medicine, nursing, psychology, etc.) on the development of regulations and other mechanisms for developing prevention plans or actions that effectively address the risks associated with gamblification in video games.
